Piccadilly Bakery: English Food is Awesome

I have to say when my dad did an inspection in their kitchen and he said it was a cupcake place I was disappointed. However, it turns out it's not just a cupcake place but they have a lunch and dinner menu as well. Having lived in Wales for 3 years as a small child I really love English Food. So I was delighted to see the menu had things like sausage rolls, Cornish pasties, and scotch eggs. I didn't get a chance to look over the whole menu but I was really excited at what I did see. When we spoke to the woman at the ordering window in the drive through she said they had two types of Pasties since I was like those yummy meat pies I must have. Mom makes Pasties all the time. The flavors they offered were Beef, and chicken curry. Since my stomach was not happy I opted for the beef though next time i want the chicken curry. They also offered me gravy and a salad. The pie crust was nice and flaky. It was really nice. Inside was beef, potatoes, rudabega, and other veggies. It tasted a lot like moms.  The gravy was absolutely wonderful. I believe it had wine in it. The flavor was amazing. The salad was nice too. I'm not a big fan of salad I have to admit. I'm not sure what kind of dressing was on it since I wasn't given a choice but the greens were not wilted and it was nice to have against the rich pie. I gave my grandma who said she wasn't hungry the last 1/3 of the pastie and she ate the whole thing because it was so good. Next time I will have to try the cupcakes since they did go on cupcake wars.
