Vampire Detective
Simulcast on Dramafever and Viki

Five years ago San was assigned with two other officers to infiltrate a criminal organization. However, their cover was blown and San was the only survivor. He was seriously injured and now his health has become bad. Now he works as a private investigator. He and his partner are the best at their job. ONE day a young woman comes about a case. Her boyfriend is acting strange. He used to do blood research but he quit his job and goes out at night to only return with blood on his clothing. She followed him to see him meet a woman. A woman who wore the same necklace as the one the woman on his team wore. It looks like their is more to the case then it appears. What they find is a tragedy and San finds himself shot once agsin. And this time to live he looses his humanity and becomes a vampire. There are a lot of questions that come up. I'd the woman who was involved in the case really the same woman officer from the beginning who went undercover with San? What was really going on in the criminal organization they infultrated? What really happened? Why did she shot San? What's going on with the Vampires? This looks like it could be very interesting.

Daebak/Jackpot
Simulcast on Dramafever and Viki

A poor woman whose husband is addicted to gambling becomes part of a plot to seduce the king in order to bring about his fall. But guilt makes her reveal the truth to the king. The problem is she also attracts the jealousy of the current Queen because this. The king though is able to steal her from her husband by making use of his addiction to gambling and in 6 months a prince is born. Because of his early birth there are rumors about him not being the kings son. She decides to switch her child with one who has died to protect him. And he is sent to her ex husband to raise. However, the man scheming wants to take the baby for his own use and the king also wants to clean up things. But the babies luck is high and he has the destiny of a king. This looks really good. There are some very interesting cinematic scenes and beautiful music. It's interesting the minute details that are focused on in certain scenes. Also to note is that gambling and luck play a big part in the story from the start. Well this is the tale of a prince raised as a commoner who gambles. I'm looking forward to the next episode.

Monster
Simulcast on Viki

Gook Chul is a homeless blind man who wants revenge. As a teenager he was the heir to a medical foundation. On his birthday after the celebration his parents discovered the car had been tampered with as they headed home on a dark and wet night. They crashed and could have been saved but a person in a red coat sent his parents down a cliff leaving him on the side of the road injured. When he awoke he found he was blind and an orphan. He tries to tell people what he saw and heard before he went unconscious but no one will believe him since he had head trauma. His aunt now has control of everything. His hearing becomes super sharp and he hears the servants talk about stealing his things. People think he is just ill tempered, but the fact is he has no one he can trust or to comfort him in the darkness. But it's not his aunt who is the culprit and once she is gone there is nothing to stop those who covet his things from taking them. Apparently the series is about how he gets a new name and realizes that he had also become a monster because of his distrust of others and about those who try to save him. The first episode is pretty dark and the people are all cruel and greedy. It's not really my type of show but it is possible that it is a good one for those interested in such things.

Pied Piper
Simulcast on Viki

This one started a few weeks ago but I hadn't had a chance to check it out until now. It's about a police negotiator. It's not my thing.

Neighborhood Lawyer Jo Deul Ho
Simulcast on Viki

Jo Deul Ho was a prosceuter who always went after a case with justice in mind. But when he refused to follow orders and not mess with the wealthy chairman of a company he is framed for crimes he didn't commit causing him to lose his job and reputation. His wife and father-in-law also betray him. He is like the sacrifice made to protect the honor of the corrupt legal system. Now he is out of jail and living on the streets. Three years previous he had been given a case and told to take care of the criminal. He found it was his younger sibling from the orphanage and that he was only taking the fall to help the orphanage out. So to help his innocent sibling he covered up the case. Now someone else is taking the fall and his younger sibling has died in an accident. He blames himself for both and decides he needs to take action before someone else is hurt by the corrupt individuals pulling the strings. This looks like yet another corupt justice system show. It could be good if done right but it could also be bad. First off I have to say that if he had money to clean himself up and buy a suit and clothing, why was he living on the streets like that. But oh well it could be good.

Space Patrol Luluco
Simulcast on Crunchyroll

It's a totally bizarre series about a girl who lives with her dad in a town where aliens and humans live. There is a huge emphasis on being normal. However, there life is nothing but normal. The animation is a bit interesting in perspective but it's still not my cuppa tea.

Brotherhood Final Fantasy XV
Simulcast on Crunchyroll

Supposed to be a 5 episode tie in anime for the game which will be released on September 30th. It will be interesting to see what they put in it but I have no expectations for it to be spectacular even though it looks pretty.
